| - I'm only giving one star because I had to...
So this vet clinic does not care about quality of care or animals, they care about collecting money. We took our dogs here for years, had a bank account switch and I forgot they took money out every month for the dog plan.
I took my extremely sick chihuahua, he died two weeks later, to them and they knowing that I've never made a payment plan and always paid, pulled me in a room and said they could not see my dog until I paid some balance. The balance was the discounts taken off of visits and medicines since the plan was cancelled!! Past tense! So I explained the bank situation and asked if I could resign him up for the plan because he was literally dying in my arms, and I was told to wait and she cane back and said no and I needed to pay a 400$ deposit! So I did, left him there for blood work and X-rays, he was fine 2 days prior, and I picked him up later and was told they tested for valley fever and would hear back. Tests were negative, so we were told to bring him back for more testing.. so we did. The last visit and 2000$ later in a week we were told he has cancer. I said how do you know and what can we do??? He was 13 and our family dog. They said we didn't test for cancer but since valley fever was negative that's what we are going with! As for a treatment plan we were told on a Friday to put him down! I said no so I was told give it the weekend and if he's still the same, he was drinking and eating less and sleeping a lot but not put down sick, then Monday we should make a choice. Well we didn't. They didn't want us wasting anymore money testing for cancer and the treatment is expensive , he was our dog we would have spent whatever we had to.
Fast forward a week and we woke up on a Tuesday morning he was cuddling my daughter, she loved him the most after me, and he didn't want her to go to school which was weird, so after I took her to school I payed down to cuddle him and I could feel something was not right it's like he knew, I fell asleep to his breathing being labored, he was laying on me and I woke up an hour later and he literally passed away a minute later in my bed on me. The most traumatic experience thus far. We kept him in a basket so my kids could be with us when we took him to the vet and I watched my family crumble because a dog we rescued 10 years ago and loved who was running around playing like a puppy was dead in 10 days. I think they are Corner cutting and not empathetic, and we would have paid whatever to find out what was wrong, that's our choice to make. We have a five year old dog and 2 maltipoo pups and would never set foot in there again after the way I was treated and my poor dog! I have since found the most amazing vet, it's further but worth it and still get reminders for my other dog! Take me off your list please! Appalling. We think it was a missed diagnosed valley fever test our doctors office has a resident dog and she had it around that same time so kind of makes sense and that is what every vet I talk to says when I share our sad story. If you need a great vet animal services is amazing Krista and her staff, the best
*IN REGARDS TI THE RESPONSE FROM THE BUSINESS that I can't respond to, we were told in office by the vet whether he put it in the chart or not that he had CANCER and to make a difficult choice over a weekend and that yes all of those tests were an option but he didn't see the point in putting the dog through it or the money which is irrelevant to us. And no referral was given. Wow if your going to Bs on a review response don't respond at all and I'm speaking as a business owner with yelp!
Thanks Ashley you'll be hearing from me
