  • I think this place has way too low of reviews on here. It's not the BEST hotel ever, but I had no problem in the 2 weeks I stayed here. The room was ready to go when I arrived. (NOTE: you need to arrive before 11PM, or else you will be locked out - as long as you have your room key after check in, though, you'll be able to get in after hours.) I found a *few* hairs in the tub, which was a little concerning, but I got over it after I washed them down the drain; I just kind of assumed they were leftover from an old maid suffering from hair loss or something, and I'm not high maintenance enough to complain about something so trivial. A week after my check in, the maids came in while I was away for the day and tidied up, replacing my bed sheets, towels, and (I assume) wiping down some stuff and vacuuming. They did not touch any of my personal items, which I was nervous about - not that I was scared they would steal them; I'm just a private guy that doesn't like people touching his stuff. I left at 9:30AM that day, and they came in sometime afterwards, so there was none of the usual knocking on the door at the buttcrack of dawn from the maid trying to get her duties done asap, which is always a plus. There is an in-unit heating/cooling under your control, which works great. Cable is in the rooms, as well as a kitchen setup. I'm sure the layout of the rooms vary, but I thought mine was perfect - big, but just big enough. I can't speak to the price, as Epic Systems was housing me there as I looked for a place to live before I started my job with them. [insert all of the stress of the world ever] My local friends have told me the prices here are very reasonable, though. Staff was great. Nice, always greeted me with a smile, and were able to help with anything (never had much of a request more than a change of towels); but they weren't overly chatty and up in my business as I have experienced in places like this or the Holiday Inn before...as I said, I'm a private guy. The absolute worst thing for me was the location. I was doing my apartment search on the isthmus, and it was about 25 minutes to get to the capital square, all about 35 mph speed limit. Ob-nox-ious. Plus, there is not much off this exit of the beltline - I found myself going north to Middleton or south to West Towne whenever I wanted even something as simple as Taco Bell. There's a Mobil gas station right out front of the hotel, but other than that, plan on driving at least 5-10 minutes to get anywhere notable, and a rough half hour if you want to get out of the suburbia crap.
