| - I have never walked out on a meal before tonight. We eat out almost every night, and usually have an amazing experience. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes a truly terrible experience to encourage a review.
I'll give the highlights: The restaurant was nearly empty at 6:15 p.m., and still it took about an hour to get our food. The lettuce on our salads was wilted brown, to the point I couldn't believe they actually served it. The steamed vegetables were refrigerator cold, and my daughter's clam chowder had a long hair in it. The topper was when my father cut open his potato to find it was rotten inside.
At this point we brought our concerns to the waiter, who immediately called over the manager. We would have been entirely satisfied had the manager been apologetic. Instead of offering an apology, the manager was argumentative and said he couldn't control what was inside the potato. He then said, "What do you want, a new potato?" We stared back at him speechless, and then he said, "So, are we done here?" We agreed that indeed, we were finished with this place.
He cleared our plates right then and there, and brought us a bill for the drinks.
We have never not paid for a meal. But the manager's response was so unsatisfactory and the quality of food was so questionable, we completely lost our appetites.
I have never had a more disappointing restaurant experience as I had tonight at the Fish Market. If the rest of the food is rotten, I sincerely hope their seafood does not make anyone sick.
