  • Absolutely awful. Is zero stars a thing yet? I reserved my ticket for the beginning of May back in February, as well as reserving a specific seat, to go from Las Vegas to LA. The confirmation e-mail said that passengers were required to be there 15 minutes before departure time, which was a little vague but whatever. Didn't think much of it. I arrived at my bus stop about 15 minutes in advance, and THE ENTIRE BUS WAS ALREADY NEARLY FULL. I told the bus driver I had a reserved seat, and he said he would get to me. By the time they got to me and a few people around me, they told us the bus was oversold and full. HOWEVER, there were two women who arrived after me who told him they had reserved seats, and they were allowed on the bus. We also found out that two people who were unable to get on their bus earlier were put on the bus as well. I reiterated to the bus driver that I also had a reserved seat, and he told me and the 6 other people to hold on while he called customer service. Ten minutes later, he returned and told us they would put us on the next bus departing at 6:30PM, which was 5 hours later (and would probably be displacing 6 other people who are actually SUPPOSED to be on that bus, aka exactly what was happening right now). We asked why people who missed their last bus got priority over people who were actually supposed to be on this bus who arrived on time, and he was incredibly dismissive and wouldn't answer us. I asked why he would put someone in MY seat that I specifically reserved, and again, was dismissive and waved me off. He repeatedly answered "call customer service" before getting on the bus and leaving. I got in touch with MegaBus, who refused to refund my ticket for not allowing me on a bus that I reserved a seat for months ago, showed up on time for, and was not allowed to board because THEY overbooked it. All they offered me was a voucher. That's it. I've never dealt with a more unprofessional, disorganized, disappointing service in my life. Talk about a company that refuses to take responsibility for their mistakes.
