  • I went to Foot Solutions at this location about 5-6 years ago to have custom orthotics made. At the time, their technology at this store was the old fashion way...step into the small foam box with all the pressure of your foot, it makes a mold, they send it off for an orthotic to be made from that mold and in about a week or two you have custom orthotics. Well, although the technology is no longer step into the box but rather step on the plate and their machine will electronically map out the bottom of you foot, I went into Foot Solutions again after 5-6 years, not because I needed new insoles (because the ones I had made 5-6 years ago still are good), but I have worn the hell out of them and I needed new fabric on it (I needed everything but the hard heavy plastic arch replaced). Custom orthotics are not cheap, but a worthy investment to make and also a worthy investment to take care of so you have them forever. Not sure if this was even possible, Jack Crowder (sales and owner, I believe) at this Foot Solutions set me up and problem solved. For about $35 and a weeks time, he resoled the orthotic and they are now like brand new. Jack seemed happy for my business and glad I returned after all these years. I originally had reached out over the phone to them to see if this could even be done and after leaving an extensive message with my inquiry, he got back to me same day with a follow up. The staff (who seem young) are not exactly as quick witted and efficient as Jack is, but what are you going to do. He would be vested differently in having positive outcomes for clients versus a minimum wage employee. They have all sorts of healthy hoot options in the form of sandles, heels and tennis shoes, in addition to foot and shoe related products, like toe protectors, shoe horns, cleaners, etc. The store is not large, but the healthy foot and shoe options is a niche. I was happy with my insoles 5-6 years back and I am happy with my experience with them current day. No big WOW factor or anything, but a good business and a grateful owner. I would recommend.
