  • I called for a price quote on Levulan Blu-light to treat actinic keratosis. I have been looking for a new dermatologist since experiencing a complete failure with Spectrum Dermatology last fall. Arizona Dermatology was recommended by a lady in my Pilates class, so I was excited to try this again so I could finally resolve the pink spots on my forehead. When I asked for the price, you would have thought I asked for the key to Fort Knox. They wouldn't quote it to me without putting me on hold TWICE, a lot of argument, and hem-hawing about how I needed a doctor visit first. After the Spectrum fiasco, I did some research and learned that there is a huge price variance ($200 to $1000) in what should be a standard treatment. I'm not going to book an appointment with a doctor if I don't know if he/she is on the high end of that spectrum. Please get your stuff together. Treat prospective patients like educated consumers, not like you intend to swindle and cheat them once they've paid you for the consultation fee and are already invested with the practice.
