While spending a month in Vegas, it became very apparent that my driver side wheel bearing needed to be replaced. I took it to Busy Buggy and they indeed agreed that my wheel bearing was bad. They also came up with a laundry list with 7 other things that they claimed were faulty (about $1,000 in repairs). They also claimed that my clutch was faulty (a $1,461.95 replacement). Because they were rated highly here on Yelp, I believed them. I spent as much I could afford at the time ($938.69) and saved the rest for later. When I got back home richer from Vegas (crazy, huh?), my local trusted mechanic looked at the invoice and couldn't believe what Busy Buggy was claiming. The problem with my clutch was a leaky master cylinder which I forget how much cost to replace but it was somewhere around $200 instead of the $1,460 that Busy Buggy had quoted. I was also told that I had paid for things that I shouldn't have.
Since the trusty $200-ish master cylinder replacement repair, my car has needed zero repairs. My clutch is still clutching along nearly 20,000 miles through Bay Area stop and go traffic along with lots of San Francisco hill miles. I'll be spending more time getting richer in Vegas, but going to Busy Buggy is a bad bet.
