We fell in love with a Simmons (United Furniture Industries) sectional at Sofa Mart, but decided to think it over and come back the next day. A quick Google search revealed that I could get the same sectional for a lower price from several online retailers, with free shipping. We went back the next day, expecting them to price match, but their policy is to only match local retailers with the "exact" same warranty terms, so it is pretty much impossible. They offered to take $50 off the already high delivery fee, but we ultimately saved about 30% off the total price by purchasing through a local family-owned store. I think there is a serious mark-up for their expansive space and national advertising.
I also found it somewhat questionable that when we asked about the upgraded Sofa Mart fabric warranty, the manager on duty told us that they instruct people to call the store first so you can avoid having to file claims and so you can be "coached" on what to say. That doesn't sound very promising to me.
And just a picky note, they sell furniture for babies and kids, but have no changing facilities for parents, which is pretty inconvenient.
