| - If you are going to do a Grand Canyon tour, make sure that you do it from Grand Canyon Destinations. After reading so many awful reviews on other companies, I decided to go with this company. It was easy to book, and very cheap in comparison to other places. I booked for 4 people total and was super excited to escape the strip for some scenic views. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't in agreement with this plan and we were in a panic to see that our Grand Canyon adventure would be in heavy rain and thunderstorms. I called in a panic and asked if they could do it the day before, but unfortunately they didn't have any tours going to the South Rim. We spoke with Pat and she was unbelievably nice about the weather situation and upgraded us to the West Rim tour.
The tour was so easy. The bus was early, and we didn't encounter any issues with finding it or boarding. The water and the snacks was a nice touch too! The driver was great, and had some awesome trivia ready for our ride. The Grand Canyon was absolutely beautiful. The lunch was pretty tasty as well, and we honestly thought the time there was well spent. We briefly stopped at the Hoover Dam, and the informational movie about it really set the scene for what we saw. We would've loved a little more time at the Dam, but we can save that for another time.
Although it was a long trip back due to traffic, our driver (william?) kept giving us helpful tips and information. The other members of our party went to dinner at a place that he suggested and they were shocked at how much of a hidden gem it was (Ellis Island).
After reading other reviews, it's apparent that this place knows what they are doing. I'm sad for people that booked through other companies because they obviously didn't have great experiences like we had.
