Wow! This was one of the worst experiences I've every had!
My insurance changed. I had checked and the Chamian Medical Group was "on the list". I had been a patient of Dr. Chamian for just short of a year. I
had been improving my blood levels through diet and exercise. Dr. Chamian was noticeably upset when I refused medication and had actually improved my levels and continued to do so. Unbelieveable.
So, today, less than 24 hours before my appointment I was told the Doctor would not see me, even if I paid cash because my insurance had changed. I explained that he was on the list for the insurance company. I was told that it didn't matter, he was no longer accepting that insurance. I had test results to be reviewed and prescriptions which needed to be refilled. It made no difference. I wasn't going to generate enough income to be useful, and he wanted no part.
Fortunately I keep a stash of extra meds, and another doctor looking after me for other medical issues reviewed my test results.
What if I didn't have the benefit of another doctor reviewing the tests and extra meds? He had no idea, and I'm sure he didn't even bother to look at the test results which were significantly improved without his prescriptions.
I'll find another physician and recommend you do the same.
