I started out trying to buy a pair of running shoes. They were out of all the popular sizes in the styles I wanted. The guy working near the department just said "yeah, they sell out really fast". No follow up about when more would come in or offer to go look in the back. When I found a pair I wanted to try that was on a high shelf there was no one around to help. Had to climb up and get them myself. After I grabbed them then someone came by to ask if I needed something.
I then went to by some running shorts. All they had were small and XXL. A girl that works in that department said hello. When I told here the problem her response was "really, hmm?" and then walked off to fold shirts. No offer to go look or help me find something, just "really?"
Then on to checkout. There were three or four young girls working up front. "working" may be a bit of an overstatement. They were just talking to one another. The one checking me out barely paid me any attention. She kept talking to her coworkers as though I was interrupting her.
If there was a manager there he/she must have been asleep in the back. Clearly no one is "minding the store".
