  • I went in today for the first time. I booked an appointment well in advance for 12:30pm. I showed up on time and waiting around 10-15 minutes. I wanted a shellac manicure with a French manicure design and a simple nail art on both ring fingers. I didn't mind paying a bit more since I had a specific design in mind. I think it was Tina who did my nails. She was the only middle aged woman there who doesn't speak English very well. I didn't mind trying to explain what I wanted. I showed her a few pictures and asked her about which option suits my budget. The design was really simple. It felt like she was rushing the entire time. The French manicure design wasn't perfect at the edges. There were a few gaps here and there where the colour was supposed to be. There were some bubbles on a couple of the finger nails. She was really rough when filing my nails. She was also rough while trimming my nails. After she finished with applying the colour, she made me wait several minutes while she helped another client do her eyebrows. When she came back I let her know that some top coat went on my cuticles and hardened. She removes it by filing it super hard. It felt like my cuticle was burning from all the filing. I was extremely disappointed. I realized that all the best technicians were working on acrylic nails but I was unfortunately put with someone who wasn't really the best. She told me that I was so picky after asking her to fix the gaps on my nails. I understood her language, she was saying how difficult I was to the other manicure tech. It's not that I enjoy telling her to fix the mistakes. I'm paying extra for the simple design and there should not be top coat on my cuticles. She rushed the whole process and then gets impatient when I ask her to fix the mistakes. Overall I don't recommend this place if you want anything other than acrylic nails done. I'm definitely not coming back for a shellac manicure. It was the worst experience ever, I thought my nails would be all broken by the end of it. My cuticles are all disgusting now. EDIT***** I went back in a few days after my first visit and got my nails fixed by Johnny. He made my nails look way better and his nail work was perfect. Definitely be sure to book ahead of time with Johnny or Doug. Thanks again Johnny for making things right. It was much appreciated.
