Whether you are from Toronto or a tourist that is interested in experiencing something hilariously unique then do yourself a favour and check out this place.
As a born and raised man in North York (now technically part of TOR) I can say that for the last decade I've seen these Kid Dracula posters everywhere. It is essentially a very cool silent movie based on Bram Stoker's Dracula played to Radiohead's Kid A and OK computer.
My girlfriend and I finally went to check it out tonight after a couple of beers.
We were not disappointed. It is one truly unique experience that I'd be hard pressed to find in any part of the world and well worth a couple of hours.
The entry is $10 per person and it's literally a theatre converted from a living room plastered with cool toys and movie posters on a giant projection screen. You can bring your own food and booze and the 20 or so chairs are comfy leather office chairs and if no one is around you can put your feet up on the one sin front for a very laidback experience.
The guy who runs it is a definitely a film addict and has a monster collection of unique films. He also does a Wizard Of Oz to Dark Side of the Moon which will definitely check out this summer.
