I was disappointed with our stay. My mother has been a time share owner for years and this was the first time she redeemed her points for my husbands and I to spend a romantic 5th anniversary away from the kids. I had called the resort the Wednesday before to see if I could arrange any special arrangements with concierge to surprise my husband. Never received any information. When we checked in Friday, we were put in a handicap room in the back corner of the resort. The shower and bath both had benches, not quite what I expected. On the patio we looked over the parking lot and had a romantic view and SMELL of the dumpster. When I called the front desk and asked to move rooms, the front desk girl was rude and said they were over booked. My mother called. Amazingly, a nice king suite was available with a jacuzzi tub and we could be moved ("if I had only told them earlier"!?!). OK, problem solved I thought. When we got to the room, dirty sheets and three bags of trash were outside our door. Got settled in and called Stephen the Manager to thank him for moving us, also told the front desk girl about the trash while I left the message. Bottom line, the trash sat outside our door and, as of Saturday when our neighbors checked in and had the same sheets and garbage, stayed there until my husband and I carried them down stairs to the sidewalk. We called three times about the trash and flagged down a lady on a golf cart who said SHE would handle it. So disappointed. I would hope the resort would invest as much energy into keeping their timeshare owners as happy as enticing new touring clients.
