| - I am dissatisfied with Ben Mynatt with my service on October 4th. I called for a repair on my a/c in my truck. I planned to use my extended warranty when I purchased my truck. First, I was told I'm not sure if they will cover it or not. I understand the representative not being able to guarantee it. However, what disappointed me was I made a comment about how it's not good that Ben Mynatt would offer a extended warranty on a brand new truck if the warranty isn't going to cover such things as a bad ac. I then was told, 'well you have to make money some how.' Then I explained, I have been coming to Ben Mynatt for over 10 years, having both of my trucks serviced here and my parents come here as well, and they are going to offer a plan knowing that it's going to cover hardly anything. Again, the comment was, 'we have to make a profit some how'. First, I want to explain you have made a GREAT deal of profit, I bought a brand new 2014 Chevrolet and my parents brought a fairly new vehicle from Ben Mynatt, so you have made plenty of money, NOT TO MENTION the years of coming to your service department to have repairs completed and several oil changes. Secondly, you do not tell a customer that 'you have to make a profit'. That is poor customer service. I completely understand making a profit, nothing in life is free but to hear that statement twice when I'm expressing that I've been a loyal customer for as long as I have been a driver, made me re-evaluate where I plan to take my truck to be serviced. If all you are wanting to do is make money off of me, being a loyal customer, I will go somewhere else. You keep loyal customers by showing your appreciation, not by 'making money off someone'. So when the service department called to tell me the issue, I was told that I was missing a induction pipe as well, and that wouldn't be covered under warranty but my ac was covered. That was a relief. However, when I told the service department I would buy the part somewhere else and put it on, there was a change of tune. I requested to have a mechanic show me where this part was and what it looked like, no one seemed to want to help me. I felt like there was no incentive to helping me because I was not paying for the shop to repair it. When I picked up my truck the next morning, I was told the mechanic doesn't come in until 8:00 am, but the day prior I requested to have someone show me, I was told if the mechanic was available I would have him show you. So then when I come in the next morning, I'm told he isn't even there? You had plenty of time to have some one available from the day before to the next or tell me when to come in so someone was available. I had no issues with the parts department, thankfully Matt was very helpful, he answered all of my questions, made sure we understand how to put it on. After thinking about it and putting the induction pipe on myself, I'm not sure how it would 'just fall off'. I feel like someone took it off or misplaced the part to 'make money off of me' since the part was only $18 and took 5 minutes to put on, but I would have been charged $150. Sounds a little deceiving if you ask me. Then we contact the service advisor for this issue and another issue and we are told, well "some young employees don't have the right work ethic" and "that he cannot do his job when he has to babysit them".
So if you want to be taken advantage of, feel free to contact Ben Mynatt, they have no problem "making money off people".
