  • This Farmers Market is a bit on the smaller side. It is located under the pavilion from 9am - 2pm on Saturdays in Downtown Summerlin. As other Yelpers stated, this farmers market is geared towards crafts (think: homemade soaps/homemade beauty products), pantry staples (think: spices/sauces/honey/oil/vinegar), homemade dog treats/pet products and food stands. They had live music during our visit with picnic tables to sit down and enjoy the food you purchased. There is a section for fruits and veggies (see pics). However, it was a small section hidden away inside a corner of the market. I'm sure they set it up this way so the fresh fruits and veggies don't wilt away in the summer heat. Things I loved: Fido's Fine Dining: I picked up some homemade gluten/grain free dog treats for my French Bulldogs with allergies (yeah- they're high maintenance piggy poos). $5 bucks. A Spice Above: The hubs and I sampled their dips with pretzels and purchased 5 packs for 20 bucks (Kickin Tomato Horseradish, Cha Cha Chipotle, and Oven Roasted Garlic). No MSGs, No Sugar (in some- read the labels) No Preservatives, No Gluten in their spices. The lady working suggested we could mix the spices in ground beef or turkey for burgers with a kick. Bistro Blends of Napa Valley: The hubs and I sampled various bread dips and marinades here and purchased 2 large bottles for 25/26 a pop (Rosemary Roasted Garlic Cabernet and Garlic Balsamic Bistro Oil). I really loved their Lemon Olive Oil and plan to pop by and purchase one of those. I think this item would be a great hostess/corporate gift with a loaf of fresh French bread and a bottle of wine. Taste of Jamaica: The hubs and I split a large plate of Jerk Chicken, plantains, yams, red beans and rice and slaw for 10 bucks. I'm a sucker for jerk seasoning and felt the chicken and plantains were finger-lickin' good (see pic). Hot Tips: Bring your own bags! If you're planning on buying anything you'll want to bring a reusable tote bag. It'll get tiresome to carry everything in your hands and I wish I came prepared. Bring CASH. I did see that a few stands accepted credit/debit cards via the Square and Ipad payment processing. However, it is helpful to have cash venue at this type of venue (I hate cash but came prepared). Prepare for the weather. It is hot and we're in Vegas. There is shade under the pavilion. However, I would recommend going early since we're in the midst of summer heat. Bring some water to sip on while you walk around to stay hydrated (or, purchase some lemonade/water from one of food stands). Final Verdict: Yes, this venue isn't extensive and isn't truly centered around fresh fruits or veggies. However, I really loved my afternoon here and liked sipping coffee and walking around with my husband. It was busy and I enjoyed the live music and supporting the stands and checking out their products. Hopefully, the venue will expand with vendors over time.
