My husband gave me a gift card to Shine because it's near where he works and it looks really nice from the outside. I went in for a walk-in pedicure and got the "Fire Walker." Unfortunately, the young man doing my pedicure didn't actually ask what service I was interested in. I had to interject with that information before he started. He also didn't know the process at all and had to ask his colleague (perhaps his boss?), who was working with another customer.
He did his best, but I definitely felt like I received an impersonal service. I also got sprayed (accidentally) with some sort of alcohol gel stuff that squirted out of its container. It was gross and stained my pants temporarily. If I had been the business owner during such an error, I would have offered a discount on the service, but I didn't receive one.
My nails also didn't dry properly under the heat lamp and when I got home, my socks (it's January, people!) had stuck to the polish, even though I sat there under the lamp for 15 minutes and got spritzed with quick-dry spray.
I won't be going back to Shine and my husband found a better salon (Aniu) to treat me with next time.
