  • Beware of the scams these people are trying to quickly pull on you. They will give you a ripped off solar contract and lie to you about how much money you will save on a monthly basis. Do not sign anything that has the label "good for today only" or some high pressure sales tactics like that. Most people think that if they don't sign now, they will miss out on the "Model Home" incentive they say you have to compete with your neighbors in the area, but you can do a lot better than that. Legit solar or any quotes should be good for at least 30 days from the date quoted, so if someone says the quote is not good tomorrow, just ask them to leave or walk away. Also note that they don't give out printed quotes, just some numbers they threw on the tablet to give you the high pressure sales. I asked them for the numbers on paper and they say I only get that when I sign the contract - that's a big red flag right there. The general advice is to get at least 3 paper/printed quotes so you can keep, compare, and help you decide. Most importantly, do your research to know what the going solar system prices are installed in your area in terms of Price per Watt (PPW); you will save tens of thousands of dollars over these scam contracts.
