So I went to Brownlee Jewelers two days ago to have my watch repaired and the woman who helped me looked at my watch which needed link repair and told me that my watch was not repairable because the links at the top could not be removed and i would have to buy an entire new band. I did not believe this because i had ordered the replacement links from the watch company. I then went to the local michael kors to see if this was true and I found out this was not the case.
The representative at michael kors stated i would not need a new watch band and it could be fixed without a new band although they did not have the tools to do it at their location as it was the king pin that was needed (not that the upper links couldn't be removed as i was told by the employee at Brownlee) and suggested another jewelry store that could fix it.
I am giving Brownlee one star because she looked at my watch for all of 5 seconds told me it couldn't be fixed because the links couldn't be removed so close to the watch face when that simply wasn't true and then stated i would need an entire new band which was also incorrect. had she just stated they didn't have the necessary tools I might have been a return customer for my other jewelry wants/needs.
