My fingers are crossed that I got the first to review for this. This is a childhood dream coming true to have American Girl open up in Scottsdale! When I was 7, I saved my allowance for months until I had the $82 (what it cost in the 80s) to write into the catalogue with my check and send away for Kirsten. What felt like an eternity later, the doll showed up at my doorstep and the minute she arrived, I took her braids out. Fail. If only the store had existed so I could have taken her to the salon to get her hair fixed. Instead I lived with a messy haired Kirsten. Throughout the years I loved to collect the dolls and I admit that I am an American Girl junkie.
I was so excited to stumble across the soft opening today and I am thrilled it's here! The store is a boutique store and simply adorable. They have all the dolls, a cafe, a hair salon and plenty of fun for Mom and daughter! Now my 4 month old needs to grow up so we can have lots of fun here!
