  • I have very mixed feelings about this Whole Foods. This is where we do the vast majority of our grocery shopping, every single week. Yes, it's very expensive, but they sell the type of food I prefer to eat. Fresh, healthy, organic food that I trust. They have tons of locally-sourced, ethically-sourced, eco-friendly options, and these are things that are very important to me. So I keep dropping $$$ here every single week. However, I have a major problem with the customer service here, particularly the dismal lack of product knowledge of majority of employees. Here is a typical situation (as in, it's happened about a dozen times) when my husband makes the grocery store trip to WF for me: I make a list for him. He gets to WF and can't find something I put on the list. He asks an employee to help him find it. The employee either doesn't know where it is (and doesn't bother to find out) OR says they don't currently carry that product. Husband calls me and says they don't have it. I tell my husband EXACTLY where it typically is in the store, and -- lol and behold -- there it is. I'm not exaggerating. It's a very frustrating thing when I know more about the location of products the paid employees of the store do, on a consistent basis. The staff here needs significant training on what the store's products are, where to find them, and how to help a customer if the employee isn't sure. This is customer service 101.
