| - I recently purchased a Acura from Cardinaleway Acura Las Vegas. After $4,000 in repairs on my Volvo over the last 5 months, I knew I needed something new. My car buying experience was good. Not the best in the world, but certainly better than typical. I normally loathe talking to salespeople, though sometimes I detest it, and occasionally I abhor the encounters with the disdain of a multitude of plagues ...with car salespersons at the top of the revolting list. I did my homework on several different types of cars, visited several dealerships and knew more than the salespeople about the cars I was looking at. I'm not trying to review myself here, but I think this added to my experience and offer it as a suggestion.
The manager I dealt with while purchasing was professional, but typical in approach. The salesman was less-than horrible, so I was happy there...jk, he was fine. I did have to tell him a couple times that he doesn't have to sell me on the car, just need to see if the manager will work out the numbers the way I need in order to purchase. They include $880 in aftermarket items here. Lots of dealerships do this, some are steeper than others. This almost hung up the deal, but they agreed to take it off when I agreed to purchase a warranty through them. I had already shopped the warranty at other Acura dealers on-line so I knew the price and they agreed to match what I found.
Working with the finance department was the best part for me. Here any sales tactics were gone and I was a real person. Again, I knew what I wanted to pay for items, but the Finance Manager was absolutely pleasant to work with. When the numbers didn't work for me on some items, I left them out and that was that...when the prices worked I included them. I would purchase from her again without hesitation.
I'm hoping the service department takes over where the finance department left off.
