| - Okay, if you're a guest of the casino, Vic & Anthony's has one particular meal that you simply can't pass up. It's an Australian lobster tail they fly in and it is gooooood. The reason I mention guest of the casino is because while I love an awesome lobster, this particular one is outside the range of what I'd pay for a single meal; it's I think around $120 to $130, and that's before you order drinks, apps, sides, etc. If Golden Nugget is picking up your bills though, oh mama, you better order this monster. It's very close to a pound, post-cooked weight, so you could probably even split it if you wanted. It's an unusual taste, kind of sweet, so completely different than what you'd get from a Maine lobster tail. I had it twice on my last visit, saved half and turned it into breakfast the next day; simply fantastic.
As far as everything else goes; I've always been very pleased with the food and drinks here. The place is very dimly lit but still has enough light to see some of the old Vegas memorabilia on the walls; lots of photos from days gone by. The service has been excellent every time I've visited. They, along with Golden Nugget, are also very accommodating to guests of the casino, so if you're a last minute kind of person, and they are full, ask your casino host to get you in and it will happen; love the service from them and Golden Nugget.
Their caprese salad is excellent; large fresh crisp tomatoes and big blocks of mozzarella with just the right amount of balsamic vinegar and basil. Steaks; fresh and always cooked perfectly. Their servers, and more importantly their cooks, understand how to cook a steak Pittsburgh style so don't hesitate to order it that way if that's how you like it. Even the sides are excellent; cream corn, onion rings, etc.
There are a million steak houses in Vegas, and this is probably my number three option; good enough to go out of your way for. Just as a point of reference, my #1 is N9NE at the Palms; their surf & turf is simply the best meal I've ever had, so it will be very hard for anywhere else to ever displace them.
