  • The Las Vegas buffet scene is a mystery to me at the moment. I remember it being difficult to find a buffet that was less than stellar a few years ago. Now it seems difficult to find a good one. Effects of rising food costs? Had heard a lot about Bacchanal, but had never tried it. Figured it had to be the best, based on location in Caesars, selection, price and word of mouth I had heard. Went here for dinner. Elaborate checkin process, entire wait was about two hours long, but after you put your name in, they'll text you when it's time for you to get back in line. Decor was modern, almost club like with the house music. Food was above average. Prime rib was very good, Asian food decent. Surprisingly had a Mexican station. Caught myself thinking "why am I getting a street taco at a $60 Las Vegas buffet?" I was really there for the crab and seafood. Was excited to try stone crab for the first time, but unfortunately it was really difficult to eat as the shell is barely cracked for you and the shell is super hard. The king crab ended up being a lot better to eat. Oyster shooters were awesome...best thing I had. Desserts were ok. Gelato with homemade crepe was what I liked most. Most of the baked goods felt mass produced, no love in them. Overall a good buffet but considering the two hour wait, the hype and the cost $60, I was expecting to be more blown away. Still recommended however, if you can afford it.
