  • First time flying with Spirit from Latrobe to Chicago. I've flown many times out of Pittsburgh direct to Chicago but took a chance with Spirit. NEVER AGAIN!!... First, the flight was delayed 35 minutes "because O'Hare is busy on the weekend"... Umm?... Then once we all boarded, it was delayed another hour because "a lot of weekend traffic"... Again, the hell??...Then, we had to all get off the plan as it was delayed yet again, another 2 hours - but wait.. this time it was "weather related". Then after waiting 30 minutes at the gate, the flight was totally cancelled - with no ridiculous explanation why this time. Best part of the whole thing - I missed my sisters baby shower AND wasted 5 hours at that damn "airport". If you have something important planned, I would PASS ON SPIRIT and stick with a bigger airline.
