| - Booked through Airbnb for New Year's Eve, The Signature at MGM Grand was a superior alternative to the usual hotel room. We reserved the Junior Deluxe Suite in Tower 3 (16th floor) with a balcony that had Las Vegas Strip views and were blown away by the experience.
Highlights:
- Check-In: Excellent. Getting to the MGM Signature requires going through a fancy security guarded gate where a valet will assist you with your luggage and valet your car for free (tip not included). There is no parking lot, you must valet. Just like a hotel, the counter is staffed 24/7 and will give you room keys, help with amenities, reservations, and any/all questions.
- Room: Large, spacious, clean, luxurious. The bed was very comfortable, the balcony provided an excellent views of the Strip, the bathroom was huge with an awesome hot tub, and there was a full kitchen (minus an oven) that made in-room food prep a breeze. They provide kitchenware upon request and when housekeeping cleans the room they'll take your dirty dishes/utensils and replace them with clean and sterilized ones.
- Location: One block behind the Strip. Go downstairs, walk one block, and you're right beside Planet Hollywood. We found it more convenient to stay off the Strip (but still close) during New Years because when it was time to go see the fireworks show and come back to our room, we didn't need to fight any crowds huddled around/in the actual Strip hotels.
The Signature is connected to the MGM Grand Hotel so when I wanted to pick up some steaks at Craftsteak I could take the walkway to the restaurant without exiting the building. Convenient.
- Price: Given the price point compared to the other options, $367 per night + $30 per night for resort fees for New Years Eve in Las Vegas was reasonable to me.
- Service: Impeccable. Valet, housekeeping, and the front desk were on point.
Highly recommended.
