I have two miniature horse sized dogs. One looks like a hyena. A big hyena.
I wouldn't bring my dogs here, not because they're not friendly (they are) but because there are like a million little yappy dogs roaming about the place like rats. And they might get stepped on or smushed.
Anyways.
This is just run-of-the-mill for me. Nothing spectacular or surprising. No exceptionally amazing customer service, just blah. I am disappointed that despite being a "Pet Perks" member for years now, I've never seen any coupons or discounts or "perks" to being a member. On top of that, their prices are exactly the same as grocery stores like Safeway, which I find strange. Shouldn't a pet store have better deals on pet food?
Checking out always seems to be a nightmare as they usually only have one or two cashiers, each with a line extending back into the Dog Food aisles. They have those last-minute impulse buys (grow your own catnip, engraveable dog tags, 99 cent frisbees) that I'm always a sucker for. I buy plenty of those 99 cent frisbees and tennis balls as my dogs/hyenas chew threw them like al-dente pasta.
And a side note of little importance: if your debit card's magnetic strip is a little worn out, their machine WILL NOT read it. Ever. And as the cherry on your embarassing ice cream sundae of a wait in line, they will not input your debit card manually. Or they can't. Whatever.
