This transit system has gone downhill since the strike.
The frequencies for the non-core routes (outside Yonge/Highway 7/Bayview) are now ridiculous. I mean, 32 minutes for an 85 during midday, 24 minutes during this and this time? How am I supposed to remember the schedule now?
There are also routes where the timing is way off. Again, the 85 is one of them. I know one of the drivers who do the route, and he tells me how on a good day he's about 15 minutes down during rush hour, and on a bad day he can be up to one hour down. Conversely, you can be 15 minutes UP on the 90 heading south during rush hour, as they give 10 minutes between Elgin Mills and Major Mack. Really? I can drive 30 km/h and make that stretch in 5 minutes!
Let's not forget the most recent thing they did...no articulated buses on Viva Blue on Sundays/Holidays anymore due to "budget cuts"! Good luck squeezing into one of those buses then!
Oh, and fare's going up to $3.75 next year!
