I had this place book marked for sometime and happy that I finally made it last night. The beer itself is great! I can't say the same about other breweries in the area that maintain 90% IPA selections and mediocre of other selections. The Competition in clt has other selections but still have that "skunky", bitter IPA-ish taste I personally am not completely sold on. They has a great beer for those non IPA drinkers who like more of a wheat base, it's called the Lazy Creek Wheat. It was tasty! I also really liked the Peak Farm Double Pale Ale. They run fun mixes of beer specials, so try them out. The way to really get a good sense for what is offered is to get the sampler, why not!
Update: I come here often for a lot of reasons: 1. The beer is good, 2. The outdoor area and 3. The live music. The location is not as fun come the colder season because its so small inside, therefore its a good thing we are in the south and we get warmer weather longer. Upside as well is that they put huge fire pits outdoors when it is colder out. They have a rotation of food trucks and host a truck rally in the back parking area on Friday evenings. The run club they hold on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays mornings are definitely more organized these days. Definitely a regular stop for me and enjoy what they have brought to the area.
