  • Tried to subscribe today after an absence of several years. After several calls and listening to a lot of advertising of the AZ Republic over and over and over and not getting through I hung up. Why was I an absent subscriber before? I was a customer for many years paying by check. Then I made the mistake of deciding to start charging it. What happened? They said I owed them money and they were going to affect my credit rating, send it to a collection agency. I was paid up in full but they could not seem to get it through their thick heads that I was just changing to having a charge rather than a paper bill. I had all my receipts but it was a terrible nightmare. Today after reading all the negatives (which I don't think any other company has this many) I decided I was lucky not to get through to subscription. It was a blessing in disguise.
