  • I, too, wish there was a zero rating. I had missed that this was an off-site rental place - my fault, not theirs - and whilst that added time, it was not a problem. However when we got there, the trouble started. The rate on the reservation (made through Rentalcars.com) was $223.63: the contract when printed was for $319.03. I declined (in writing) their "obligatory" options such as roadside assistance and the "gas service" option. The clerk insisted that these could not be declined and were mandatory. I was told that I "could go back to the airport and try and get a rental car there". On Saturday night of the labor day weekend. Thanks Kadijah! The car itself, whilst under 30K miles, had an obvious tire/wheel problem that showed as a regular thump. When I turned on the lights as darkness fell, the dashboard cluster lighting flashed incessantly for about 20 cycles. Then stopped. Then started up again, over and over for the whole of our 200 mile drive. We were tight on time returning and agreed that the receipt could be emailed. It was for $293.80, with no explanation, or obvious reason, for the different charges than their original contract showed.
