  • Just got off the phone with Ginger, I believe her name was. I was told she was the manager. I had told her I booked a reso on for NYE on 10/2. But on 10/13 they cancelled it. When I asked why she said the owners canceled it. They were sorry the last time I stayed they couldn't meet my expectations and good luck to me, yes with a snotty voice. Then hung up on me. Couldn't get a word in. The last time I stayed there, about 2 years ago, the power went out at about 10ish. So we couldn't do much of anything. So I asked for a refund which they gave. This was in November. When it's cold. Yeah no heat. Any reasonable person would have asked for a refund. I'm sure if the owners go to a restaurant and the food is served cold then when asked to have the food heated up but the server says I'm sorry our kitchen oven is down. I'm guessing they wouldn't agree to pay for the meal. I will say that place is a nice departure from vegas but overpriced. But it's what you do for the one you love. Instead of feeding me a bunch of BS about not meeting expectations, again the power went out. I don't know anyone that checks into any room and when the power out they get pissed at the customer for expecting the power to work. All they had to do was call me and have a simple conversation to address what happened. I'm a big boy I can handle it. This is vegas. With California and Utah close by there are bigger and better places to go than Vegas cabins. The reason people go there is convenance not because it's the first of its kind or it's something special. Even after what happened last time I booked NYE at 365 for the night. No hard feelings from last time. I guess they had hurt feelings. It's just surprising they would conduct themselves like that. Again there is no problem with them having a conversation and then saying we don't want your business in a nice way. I would have respected that. I used to to own a business you can tell someone you don't want their business in a nice way and part as friends. I would still promote their cabins, like I've been doing for 2 years since I stayed there. I don't expect perfection but I was expecting power. Most folks are aware of this, I guess they are not word of mouth can be the best form of advertising or the worst......have a great time and you tell a few folks, have a bad experience you tell everyone.
