In a town where bottomless mimosas and hour long wait lists reign supreme, this hidden gem was a joy to stumble upon.
We were up early looking to grab a bite before a panthers game. Our hopes of beating the Sunday morning church crowd to our standby breakfast place were completely destroyed when we found a line out the door and a wait list an hour long.
We had heard of Cast Iron Waffles, but have never been. Upon walking we found a quiet shop with a cool vibe. If you're looking for a full English breakfast, this place isn't it. But we were able to order immediately, the coffee was about the same as Starbucks from a price standpoint, but roughly 1000 times better. My girl ordered a pumpkin waffle and a chai latte. Picture of the waffle attached. I had every intention of ordering a cinnamon roll waffle and a latte. What came out of my mouth was a cinnamon roll latte. The barista willingly accepted my off the menu challenge. I also scarfed down a cinnamon roll waffle. So much so I forgot to take a photo for you fine folks.
Long story short if you're looking white table cloths and crab legs: keep looking. If you're looking for a great cup of coffee, a low key atmosphere and an amazing waffle.
