  • I have been meaning to see Zarkana ever since it opened a few years ago. The promos on their website does a great job of making the show seem exciting and riveting, but it just falls flat. Of all of the Vegas Cirque du Soleil shows, this is the absolute worst. It was the one of the few shows that I have ever felt that I wanted to walk out of. Don't get me wrong, the performers are well trained and I applaud them for what they do, because hell, there is absolutely no way I could even attempt to do what they do. But the show was just not as put together or captivating as the other Cirque shows that I've been too. The show itself has all of the typical things that you would expect to find, from the interactive audience participation, the funky costumes, the acrobatic acts, the clowns or comedic cast member who guides you through the journey, etc., but it was just lacking. If you've been to other Cirques in Vegas, you might recognize: - Similar to Mystere, it was a bunch of single acts that are put together - Similar to Ka, it has the live music/singers as well as a similar two-person wheel act - Similar to all, prior to the start of the show, some of the cast comes out to interact with the audience in a playful manor What wasn't exactly right - The flow of the show- it just seemed like a bunch of separate acts combined to form a show with awkward transitions in between and a lackluster ending - Use of camera minus flash- great, you can use it, but it was beyond annoying depending who you sat next too. Is it so hard to actually watch a performance rather than trying to take the perfect shot that won't most likely come out on your phone/camera - Minor mistakes/miscues- I will say it again, the performers have a great amount of skill, but this show doesn't seem as polished as others What is good - This show is on the cheaper side compared to the other Cirques in Vegas, especially if you are a member of the MGM loyalty card. -Seating- seating in the main floor premium section is extremely comfortable. Not only do you have a good view, your are sitting on a couch like seat
