  • I had previously posted this review for a different property in error, and have and since retracted it. I dined at the Wynn. Here's the original (and correct) review. --------------------------------------------- In a word: disappointing. We arrived on Thanksgiving Day to find a four-hour Disneyland-queue stretching down the hall and back a few times. Not wanting to wait, we opted for a different casino's Italian restaurant. We came back the next day to find ZERO lines. We waltzed right on in (same price, same food). Our expectations were set by the buffet price (~$70). For that kind of money we expected 5-star cuisine ... top-of the line food quality and presentation, along with generous and varied selections. We were indeed delighted with the decor, the cleanliness, the hospitality of ALL staff we encountered, and especially the variety of dishes to choose from. However, the food quality was a mere "B" level. Many items had the taste and texture of "average" casino buffet fare (comparable to Red Rock Casino at ~$15/per on a weekday for example). A few items were stellar, just not enough of them for the price. Many of the meats were overcooked and dry-ish instead of being juicy and succulent (the lamb and turkey for example). Interestingly enough, if the price were 1/2 what we paid, my rating would be a four. The highlight was our server. She was simply delightful.
