| - I gotta say, I like this pet club and think it's humorous all these poor reviews. We actually enjoy the aloof nature of the staff. Yes, they tend to talk (to anyone), lurk the isles (more watching than offering assistance), and generally take a hands-off approach until you're the one at the register, but once there, you are their focus.
I've been in a couple times where dopey animal lovers get enraged over something like an out of stock on their animals favorite chew or the fact they just closed (this store makes no exceptions. When they're closed, they're closed!). It's a lot like being in an 80s coming of age movie where the clerk is just on a different level than the whacky, eccentric guest.
Overall, my experience here have been good. They do offer to help carry your products (especially if you struggle a bit in front of them), they're always kind and friendly (even if seeming disinterested in your overflowing love of your animal), and they always match price and are generally helpful (if you ask and just don't stand in the isle working yourself into a tissy because someone isn't throwing up customer service all over you.
Go in, enjoy the customer service meltdown show (because it is comical usually), and breathe deep and relax. It is a good store. And like everyone says, it's very convenient.
