What an excellent place to visit, especially for Vegas visitors looking for an alternative to the alcohol and bright lights of the strip. I was in Vegas visiting my dad from california and we found this museum online to fill time before a movie showing that night. We expected to spend an hour at most here, but we ended up staying for three whole hours, all the way until they closed at 4:00.
The staff were very friendly, occasionally engaging us in conversation to tell us information beyond what's on the signs. They were all clearly passionate and knowledgable about the animals and exhibits in the museum.
The highlight for me was being allowed to hold a ball python snake by one of the attendants, that was an exciting experience for me and my family.
The museum is smaller than LA museums but it packs a powerful punch. The exhibits are interesting and well done- especially the animatronic dinosaurs!- and the staff is committed to giving each guest a unique and memorable experience.
Definitely a place to check out if you're looking for something fun in the area.
