| - I drove up to the property and the Asst. Manager, (Angela shortened or close on her name tag) which was back in January 2015. She didn't acknowledge my son or myself as we entered the Office to look at a rental. I'm not sure if it was because I drove up in an older well kept PAID OFF use auto, or if it was because I was white. My son felt the vibe as well, which he is Hispanic. She refused o show me any models indicating they had not one available to show and didn't have a date of when would
be able to be seen. I asked her well what do you show bgeside the paper layouts and website views prior to renting? I never got a direct answer, I asked so courant these properties sight unseen? Bottom line, she was getting up from her chair. She gave me paper handouts. I said that's it? What about your website advertising 1 MO free, etc.... she rambled something and felt embarrassed for her. Little did she know I didn' tell her I was referred by an apartment locator service, who told the agency to ask for her, and we could proceed. I am a longstanding employed state government employee, however like to dress down on my days off, wearing a baseball hat, looking for apartments with my child, casually until we purchase a home . I will be sending a corporate letter on the exact date time, statement made, correct spelling of the assistant manager I dealt with and hope she will not ever handle any future tenant, as she did up front with my my son and others in the office. Iremained calm and walked with my head up. POOR BUISNESS TACTICS and worst customer service ever an apartment 'rental community, when there are many others that would never allow such poor treatment to potential future excellent community renters.
