  • As you can probably tell from my reviews, I rarely give lower than 4 stars, but with Top of the World, I just have to be honest. There is nothing negative that I can say about the service. Patrick was our server and he was great. My family and I had dinner at Top of the World last Saturday. Since it was our last night in town, I thought it would be a unique experience to have dinner 106 stories above The Strip and it was a unique experience. Truth be told, that is what you are paying for here is the experience. A revolving restaurant above The Strip that you occasionally see people bungee jump off of. There are a lot of great choices on the menu. My wife and I opted for Chef's Tasting Menu at $98 per person without wine pairings. After looking at what we wanted to have individually, it worked out to be about the same. I started with the Lobster Bisque, then the Kurobuta Pork Belly, and ended with the Filet Mignon and Shrimp Scampi. Unfortunately, I can't recall what my wife had. Which, for me, means the food was just ok, and it was. Based upon other yelp reviews, I was expecting better things from the food. The prices and the food are way off so expect to drop some serious cash. For the two of us, our bill came to $283 without tip. That included our food and two drinks a piece. I feel, the for the quality of the food we had, the Chef's Tasting menu would have been more reasonably priced at $50 per person, and the drinks at about $10 to $12 a piece. Most of you can tell from my reviews that I am more than willing to drop some serious cash for a good meal, but this wasn't that kind of meal. Getting to the restaurant is probably the most interesting part. I likened it to waiting to get on a ride at Disneyland, except there was a metal detector involved. You practically walk through the whole casino, then up stairs and escalators, through the metal detector and onto an elevator that takes 30 seconds to go 106 floors up. If you want just a unique experience and don't care about price, then dine at Top of the World. I will probably go back at some point, but probably just to the lounge. I recommend taking Uber or Lyft to get to the Stratosphere. It will help you avoid the headache of parking. Also, book through Opentable. It is much easier than calling the restaurant.
