The food was really good, but the service was lacking.
My fiance and I stopped in for dinner around 7:30 on Sunday night, and the restaurant was bustling but not packed. We were sat at a table with menus fairly quickly, and then from there, things went downhill. We perused the short menu fairly quickly and were ready to order when the same guy that sat us came to bring us waters (5 minutes after seating us) but he just dropped the waters off and immediately left. There were two tables nearby that weren't bussed for a good 10-15 minutes. A different waitress came around about 10 minutes after we got waters to take our orders. After that...we waited 30-40 minutes for our food to come out. Our waitress checked on us once or twice during that time and told us our food was "almost ready!" When we finally received our misirwot/begwot family style platter, we devoured it in about 5 minutes. Then we sat around for another 10 minutes until our server saw us with the empty plate in front of us and said she would go get our check. 5 minutes later we had to flag her down, whereupon we were informed we should actually go up to the bar to pay as it would be faster.
Most of this review is about the service and not about the food, because the food (though good) was such a small part of this experience. Buraka, please get your FOH act together. There needs to be more/better communication between your servers and maybe you should get an expediter. Your food is good, but not good enough for me to wait 45 minutes for it.
