| - The car was great, but customer service from the start was terrible - but they're friendly as they tell you they can't/won't help you.
When I searched for the rate, it quoted one thing, but as soon as I entered my payment information, it put me into a contract paying more per day than what was quoted. I called customer service and they told me to talk to them at the counter when I picked up the rental. Shouldn't have been surprised when the guy at the counter told me to call customer service.
Yes, the line was long, but they can only fit so many people at the counter to work. They got through the line as fast as they could. And, like used car salesman, they do try to upsell you to the insurance and pre-paid fuel, but just say "no."
Then, I left my house keys on the key ring when I returned the car. Spent two weeks contacting them and being promised I'd get a return call and not getting one. Explained three times that I didn't lose the keys in the car, I turned them in on they key ring, but still didn't get it across. I don't know if someone took my keys or just didn't want to deal with it and threw them out when they checked the car in. They had a tag with my name and number on them - not sure what was so hard about calling. Feel like I need to rekey me locks, but pretty sure they're not going to help out on the cost even though it was their guy that threw my keys away/lost/took them. When I got assertive with him, the guy then tried to tell me that when he inspected the car 4 days after I turned it in, it had a cracked windshield (which it did not when I returned it), like they were going to try to tell me that I was responsible for it.
Would I rent again from them? Based on the super cheap rate for what I needed (even with the changed quote) - yes. But with NO expectations for customer service or assistance.
