  • 3.5 Pros: Special deal is pretty good Cons: Food orders take a while to come My GF loves Taiwanese food and ZenQ is close by so I do end up frequenting this place a lot. ZenQ is one of the many many bubble tea/dessert shops along the Yonge and Finch area. It's a good choice if you're craving it, but it won't amaze you to any extent. My favourite part about this place is the meal specials they have here. There are 5 meal items that come with a choice of 5 of their drinks. The price is under $10 before taxes and a little over after. It's very good deal as a meal and a drink at most bubble tea places will set you back anywhere from $15-20 before taxes. My GF usually chooses between the basil chicken or the popcorn chicken meals. The popcorn chicken comes with minced pork on the rice. With meals like these, the veggie portion at most places are slim to none. You usually get a couple of sprigs of come sort of veggie. This ZenQ location makes a much better effort in that department. The veggies seem to change daily so I think they go out and buy whichever veggies look to be on sale at them time. You get a decent amount and it looks pretty fresh. They offer a lot of Taiwanese style desserts here but I have yet to order one so I can't comment on those items yet. The drinks here are pretty standard. Nothing impressive, yet nothing to be disappointed on either. When you order drinks, the orders are processed very quickly and you should be out the door or receive your drink when you sit it within a couple of minutes tops. When you order food items though, it's a different story. I find it takes them a pretty long time to get your order done when there's food items involved. You'll be waiting anywhere from 20-30 minutes which is a long time for a place like this. I came in at a time where they only had 3 tables with people and I was the only one taking out and it still took over 20 minutes for one order. If you're in a rush, this might not be the best choice. Overall, I do like ZenQ and my GF likes it even more so I know I will be back. It's a solid choice for bubble tea/Taiwanese food. Just plan accordingly if you intend to order food and might be pressed for time.
