The Wynn Buffet was okay. It didn't knock my socks off especially considering the premium you pay to get in ($30-$50 depending on lunch or dinner time). Also due to the plethora of other buffets around I wouldn't necessarily recommend this one.
The Rio World Buffet has a larger selection, food as far as the eyes could see, dessert selection that was pretty supremo, and the food generally tasted better. Also it is cheaper. I'll admit the ambiance at the Wynn isn't bad, but not enough to justify the asking price and let's be honest here, you're there to shovel food down your gullet and get your body on track for diabetes. Am I right? No? Okay I digress...
The crab legs and general seafood layout was a little smaller than other buffets. The fruit station was practically non-existent which offended the vegan half of me. There were three kinds of lamb that practically tasted the same. The carnivore half of me was doubly offended. Also what happened to the mexican nacho bar where you could build your own nacho and pour on the cheese and guacamole? No taco shells? No selection of black and refried beans? Mais NON! The Japanese half of me was triple offended.
So yeah, if you're looking to hit up one buffet to lock in your Vegas memories to brag to your farmer friends back in IOWA corn country, I wouldn't go to this one. Hit up Cesar's or Rio.
I'll give Wynn the very small benefit of the doubt in that I was there on a holiday week, but c'mon son, you gotta be on your A game especially during this time of year when people will probably be visiting.
(No Nacho bar? It takes up only one square yard of space, but pleases so many....C'mon Wynn!! Get with the program!)
