I have lived in Haven for two years and have had very few issues. If you are looking to move into the Haven, there are a few things you should know:
1. If you hate dogs, Haven is not the place for you. I would say that about 50% of the complex has dogs and they are rarely on a lease.
2. Do not consider living on the unrenovated side. There are no lights on at night and it is infested with roaches.
3. If you are a college student, you will love the Haven. There are parties at the pool EVERY weekend and you will surely get an invite if you are friends with your neighbors.
4. The maintenance guys are awesome. If you have a light out or need your air filters replaced, the order will likely be filled by the end of the day.
5. The office staff is terrible. If you have to talk to someone, talk to the guys. The girls are snobby and have no grasp on customer service. At least the guys can pretend to care.
There are only four major issues in two years I can think of that I have had with Haven:
1. I have never received a copy of my lease. I have asked for one five times.
2. I live on the bottom apartment and the tenant above me had a leaking faucet. For a week, I took a shower in a bathroom that had no ceiling and for three weeks after the problem was solved, my bathroom was infested with tiny bugs.
3. Our rent check was stolen. Someone who worked for the complex didn't arm the office. The entire complex was affected.
4. My washer/dryer unit is broken. I won't have one for 8 weeks. The office is not willing to compensate for the amount of money spend at the laundromat.
Overall, I would recommend living at Haven, but that is not something for me to decide.
