I really like what they did with this space. It has a Los Angeles feel - like being at the Americana or the Grove. It definitely takes you out of the Las Vegas feeling - minus the massive amount of people with alcoholic drinks in hand.
It is located between two casinos - The LINQ and The Flamingo. At the end, there is the High Roller, which is an enormous ferris wheel; tickets are required. There is a music venue called Brooklyn Bowl that has live music. When we were in town, Juicy J was performing one night. There are a ton of places to get food and drinks like Starbucks, Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, Sprinkles, and In-N-Out! There are also places to shop, too, but not as much as there are places to eat and drink.
The promenade is nice to visit to getaway from the hustle and bustle of the casino and the strip. If anything, it is a relaxing stroll outside and a good place to people watch!
