  • I am giving this place a 1 star for one reason only. I don't know if it is the lack of training or just not getting it. Twice I've taken my 81 yr old mother who does not get around well to this place. It's less than a mile from our house. The first time there was a 20 min wait. No biggie, there was a chair for her sit. There were 5 groups ahead of us and a number of groups that came after. We'd been waiting 10 min or so when a couple came in after everyone else and waited less than 5 mins. The lady manager took them to a table that seats 4 that had just opened up. You could tell this couple were regulars and a favorite of hers. Two of the groups ahead of us were a group of 4 and a group of 5. Those of us that were standing there couldn't believe it. Everyone was annoyed, but didn't say anything - my mistake there. Finally got seated. It's a few weeks later and thought I would take mother and try one more time. Get there and it's a 5 min wait. No one waiting in front and and a few people walking in behind us. The young gal asks if we would like to sit at the counter and we say no, we would like a table. Not one minute goes by, a young mother and her child come, and again all of us are passed over and they seat them at a table that has just opened up and proceed to take us to a booth. We very specifically had said table. My mother has trouble in booths. They coud have very well taken the mother and child to the booth. I see that the lady manger knows the mother and is taking care of them. WHAT THE??? My mother and I look at each other and decide this place isn't worth our money. The hostess that seated us asks if everthing is okay and this time my mother says something. The best the gal does is a hollow apology and not an offer of anything. We're not the type of people to expect anything, but not even an offer after this stupidity?! To be that rude and disrespectful twice, to not only us, but to the people who are also waiting is inexcusable. It's a shame since all of the servers we have had are very good and I would give them 4 stars. I'm done with this place. Butterfields and U.S. Egg are MUCH better choices and worth driving to.
