After checking here on Yelp! for a Vegas camera store, I came to check out Casey's. It's not in the nicest part of town and the outside is pretty 'Meh' but I very badly needed my camera cleaned so I gave it a shot anyway. Luckily, Casey's has a guy that comes to the store Monday-Thursdays specifically to clean and work on cameras. The employees were all very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable and they didn't push me too hard or make me uncomfortable, which I appreciated very much. I'm far from a photography expert and I don't have tons of money so I would not have been happy to get snooty attitude or a heavy-handed sales push. I just wanted my camera cleaned and to look around and that's what I got!
So I dropped my camera off on a Sunday afternoon and it was ready to go Tuesday morning - it may have been done sooner but I have to work Mondays and couldn't make it. Also, no one called me to tell me it was done, I had to call and ask (disappointed by that). But they (he?) did a nice job, the spots are gone! I *love* my camera and I was very nervous to leave it there but overall I'm satisfied. And the charge was about $65 which I felt was fair.
One more disappointing thing about Casey's is that they don't rent equipment. If you want to do that, you have to go over to B&C's. Otherwise Casey's would definitely be my only in-town Camera store and they would absolutely get all 5 stars! Highly recommend them!
