  • This place saved the life of my husband and myself. Seriously. We walked into the CrossFit Upper Limit Gym on July 20, 2016. Shortly before this, my husband's father passed away from complications of a stroke and my dad had a heart attack, resulting in a triple bypass. And we were heading down that same road. So we knew we had to do something, so we came here. This gym is nothing like I have ever experienced. I am not a "career athlete", never really having played sports nor have I been a long-time member of any sort of fitness program or establishment. All I knew (or thought I knew) was that CrossFit was for badass folks who were in awesome shape. In other words, not a place for people like me. I was so, so, wrong. And I am thankful I was wrong. This gym is NOT a place to go if you want to walk on a treadmill and watch the news. It is NOT a place to go, lift a few weights, pose for the camera, and check out how your hair, makeup, and outfit look. This gym is NOT a place to grab a smoothie and Instagram how great it looks. This gym is a place to sweat because we work hard. The kind of hard work where you are sore for the next two days because you worked so hard. This gym is a place where people you barely know are cheering you on because you are about to hit a personal record and are struggling with the last little bit but with their encouragement, you make it. This gym is where you push your body, mind, and spirit to the upper limit and do things you never thought you could do. I am a testament to this gym. If you had told me that I would be writing a raving review for gym 7 months ago, I would have called you crazy. Now, I am a fan, and am living the difference of having been a regular three times a week. If you are looking for the type of gym I described and a place to get healthy, stronger, and fitter, come check out the box. I hope to see you there. Like what you read? Go to the Upper Limit website and check out the blog. I write on there sometimes.
