| - Concord Mills is a mall only in the literal sense and that's one of it's positives. Yes there are many stores here that vary from clothing, home decor, food, jewelry, a movie theatre to LEGOs however this place feels cheap, almost like a fraud pretending to be something that it's not. I don't mean to sound harsh but that's the reality for me...this is an outlet mall. The prices here aren't much better than what you'll find at a department store, the selection of clothing varies from store to store where some stores truly do sell surplus items to some stores that sell only clothes made for an outlet. Getting to this outlet is a traffic hassle sometimes and the parking is craaazzy but that's to be expected.
I don't want to make a general statement about customer service since there are so many stores however I do notice that the stores that I've been to haven't had the best customer service probably because the employees seemed to be overworked and underpaid in dealing with all of the foot traffic. The mall is very clean and that goes for the bathrooms also and the food court is huge so you could shop, eat and shop some more. I don't notice security too much, so I take it that crime is relatively quiet here.
All is not lost in Concord Mills, like I said they do have a movie theatre, AMC Concord Mills 24 which is nice. I wouldn't recommend this outlet mall to people who live more than 30 minutes aways because there are better alternatives like Carolina Place Mall, SouthPark, and Charlotte Premium Outlets.
