Where is the gd 0 star rating Yelp...this place used to be Danny's Family Car Wash. I don't know if Jacksons is owned by Danny's or if it's a completely separate business, but they sure act like the old Danny's. Danny's was AWFUL, always trying to upsell you on crap you didn't need, at least at the time they said you needed it. Everything always seemed to be on the brink of collapse when you took your car to Danny's. I finally saw that it was a new place and decided to try it out for a quick and basic oil change + whatever free car wash came with that. As soon as I pull in, they try to get me to upgrade to a paid car wash on top of my oil change. When I decline, the girl calls over a third guy, who pops my hood, points to some arbitrary crap and tells me that he HAS to use synthetic oil or otherwise the regular oil change will void my warranty. When I told him to just use regular oil, he actually told me that he was NOT ABLE to do a regular oil change on my car b/c of this reason. I've heard A LOT of dumb s&*! in my life...but this was up there. I know exactly what this guy was thinking - I'm 38 years old, but I must have looked like a dumb young kid that day with my t-shirt, bball shorts, and hat, b/c that's the only reason I can think of as to why he would try to make me believe that drivel. No, my 4 cylinder Nissan Sentra base model does NOT need synthetic oil, and there is no manufacturer's warranty that will be voided unless synthetic oil is used. Just utterly asinine and insulting that he tried to make me believe this, I guess he thought I would just agree to anything. It's actually downright deceptive, as I'm SURE he knew better and was intentionally just trying to get me to spend more money. My next web page visit will be to the BBB's site.
And to the very misguided and dishonest employee at Jacksons Car Wash that tried to rip me off - read the owner's manual sir, I've left a link to it for you. Nowhere in there does it say 1. that I MUST use synthetic oil, nor 2. that any warranty will be voided if anything other than synthetic oil is used. Please STOP LYING to your prospective customers.
